How many tents do you have?
Arabian nightWe have designed your luxury experience with your privacy in mind so we only have 4 luxury Safari tents, 1 Empress tent with outside shower and bath, a remote adventure bell tent and 1 luxury Tipi on our 50 acre property with a maximum of 2 guests per tent.
What time can we check in and out?
How close are your safari tents to each other?
We have four safari tents – Kalahari and Out of Africa are 60 metres from any other tent. Our newest tents Casablanca and Serengeti are approximately 30metres apart, these tents face out onto their own private parklands. Our smaller tents are atleast 100metres from anything/anyone!
All tents were built with creating a space with both luxury and privacy in mind.
Do we have to bring our own food?
Our Safari tents have complimentary ground coffee, teas, sugar, salt and pepper and oil for guests use.
We also have a mini bar inside each safari tent, in addition to the premium French wine collection which is held in our cellar and delivered upon request.
Are the Safari tents all weather?
All of our tents are extremely capable of withstanding our Queensland climate whether it be wind, rain, sunshine or hot or cold. Our Safari tents are a cool 20 degrees inside when 35 degrees outside, with the full length flyscreened floor to ceiling letting in breezes, 3 insulating top layers and large breezy doorways and plenty of fly screened windows all around….infact they work much like a Queenslander, being raised up on a deck for cooling. Our other tents are superb in all weather events. Come wind , rain, hail or sunshine …..our tents cope with it all!
We have a very quiet toddler, can we bring them?
Do you have a fridge? Or a microwave?
Yes! Our kitchenette inside each Safari tent has both of these plus a deck Weber BBQ, and a toaster & kettle. We also provide a saucepan, frypan and basic cutlery & crockery for your stay. Our smaller tents use the fridge and microwave available at the shared BBQ amenities hut which has a shared kettle,toaster, BBQ, fridge and microwave.
Do you sell Ice?
Do you have phone reception?
Yes most networks are available onsite although Vodaphone remains a problem.
Can we have more than 2 guests in a tent?

Do you internet in the tent?
In the Safari tents only we have Netflix, YouTube and all the apps on the Smart TV’s and hotspotting from your mobile phone is widely available.
What is there to do on the property?

How hot is it inside the Safari tents in summer?
Fantastically versatile the outside temperature can be 35 degrees but a cool 20 degrees inside. They are surprisingly cool being triple insulated above, ceiling fans, 12metres of full length flyscreened doorways along the entire side of our Safari tent, huge double front opening and windows all around to catch the breezes, set up on cooling decks and are manufactured to cope with the hot African weather which can be very similar to our hot Queensland summers.
What about heating in winter?
Our Safari tents & Marrakesh empress tent have the luxury of woodburning heaters which produce enough heat for even the coolest of winter nights. Even when it’s not so cold guests love the cosiness of warming their toes in front of the firelight. We also provide each guest with a cosy hot water bottle to snuggle up to on the colder nights.

We recommend the Nambour heights butcher for a great cut of meat just as you are heading out of Nambour on the Mapleton road.

What walks do you recommend in the area?
There are lots of other easy walks in the nearby Mapleton National Park including the Mapleton Falls 1.3km walk (with a 120 metre waterfall & views of the Obi Obi Valley) as well as The Gheerulla Falls 2.7km walk with it’s own little secluded swimming hole.
For serious hikers each October there is the 3 day Great Noosa Trail Walk that takes you through the Noosa Hinterland towns of Cooroy, Kin Kin & Pomona, packed with secret viewing points of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and ocean. From 2022 there is also the option to do just the one day walk. Contact GNTW for further information.
